Pianos are more than just amazing musical instruments. They’re family heirlooms. They’re works of art. They’re tools of the trade for amazingly talented professionals. Pianos really are something special.
We’ve been moving pianos since 1998. In fact, during our first few years, we only moved pianos! So we know how important it is to treat every piano with the utmost care and respect. For over 17 years, we’ve been trusted by schools, professional musicians, and families to move their most prized possessions.
That’s why if you’re looking for professional piano movers in Vancouver WA, you’ve come to the right place.
“We have been working with ANC Movers for over 7 years. They have never disappointed us, and we know we can trust them. I would recommend them to anyone.”

Choosing Piano Movers
Moving a piano isn’t the same as packing up a house or office (although we’re great at that too!). When choosing professional piano movers you need to look for experience. Since 1998 we’ve moved thousands of pianos throughout the Vancouver area.
Compare rates, get written estimates, and make sure you know what the job will cost. Ask to see a valid permit from the Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC), as well as proof of insurance.
You’ll also want to find out how much advance notice is needed, especially if you need your piano moved in a hurry. In addition to a piano mover’s availability, find out their schedule. At ANC Movers, for example, we move pianos Monday-Saturday.
How We Move Your Piano
When you call us, we’ll start by asking you some questions over the phone. It only takes a few minutes and we’ll usually be able to give you a quote right away. Our years of experience mean we know the right questions to ask and generally don’t need to come out to your location before giving you an accurate quote.
On the day of the move, you don’t need to do anything. Our team will come 100% prepared to move your piano. We’ll bring everything, including a cover for grand pianos, dollies that protect delicate floors, skids and ramps, and whatever else it’ll take to get the job done.
When it comes to piano moving, we’ve seen it all. We’ve moved grand pianos, modern pianos, player pianos, and every other kind of piano you can imagine. We’ve even taken a piano out through a window when the home’s doorways were too small!
Answers to Your Piano Moving Questions
We don’t charge for mileage or by the hour. For each piano we move, we provide a quote that we’ll stand behind. Our only surcharge is for when we have to move a piano up or down a flight of stairs.
There are no hidden charges or fees. We guarantee it.
What Moving Equipment do You Use?
Our piano skids, moving pads, protective blankets, ramps, slings, straps, and other piano moving equipment are in excellent condition at all times. And our trucks are always clean and ready to go.
Does My Piano Need to be Tuned After Moving?
We do recommend that you have a piano tuner come out within about 3 weeks of the move to check things out and see if your piano needs to be tuned. We work with a few local piano tuners and would be happy to provide a recommendation.
I’m a Professional Musician. Can You Move My Grand Piano to My Next Gig and Back Home Again?
Absolutely! We love music and we’ve done round-trip piano moves for many musicians over the years. We’ll take care of everything.
Are you Insured?
Yes! Our piano movers carry a $2 million dollar liability insurance policy, plus an additional $50,000 in cargo coverage to protect your piano.
Do you Hire Day Workers?
Never! Our piano movers are all trained and experienced employees of ANC Movers. They’ll be responsible for your piano’s safety throughout the entire moving process.
