Choosing piano movers
Moving a piano isn’t the same as packing up a house or office (although we’re great at that too!). When choosing professional piano movers you need to look for experience. Since 1998 we’ve moved thousands of pianos throughout the Vancouver area.
Compare rates, get written estimates, and make sure you know what the job will cost. Ask to see a valid permit from the Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC), as well as proof of insurance.
You’ll also want to find out how much advance notice is needed, especially if you need your piano moved in a hurry. In addition to a piano mover’s availability, find out their schedule. At ANC Movers, for example, we move pianos Monday-Saturday.
How we move your piano
When you call us, we’ll start by asking you some questions over the phone. It only takes a few minutes and we’ll usually be able to give you a quote right away. Our years of experience mean we know the right questions to ask and generally don’t need to come out to your location before giving you an accurate quote.
On the day of the move, you don’t need to do anything. Our team will come 100% prepared to move your piano. We’ll bring everything, including a cover for grand pianos, dollies that protect delicate floors, skids and ramps, and whatever else it’ll take to get the job done.
When it comes to piano moving, we’ve seen it all. We’ve moved grand pianos, modern pianos, player pianos, and every other kind of piano you can imagine. We’ve even taken a piano out through a window when the home’s doorways were too small!
We are happy to visit your home or business for a free no-obligation estimate.
